Leadership at GE and the IMLP Program
How do GE and GE Healthcare stay ahead of its competitors? The answer is people. Globally recognized as one of GE's keys to success, rotational leadership programs started as a way to train GE's engineers, in the tradition of Thomas Edison, about both advanced engineering and business. The IT leadership program, called the Information Management Leadership Program (IMLP), consists of four sixmonth rotations in different GE Healthcare businesses/functions combined with intense training conducted in Connecticut and Shanghai, China. The program allows young leaders to quickly develop key leadership skills, technical aptitude, and business acumen through project leadership opportunities across a variety of technologies and business functions. The structured training allows for further development while also providing the opportunity to network with other IMLPs from across GE and across the globe.

GE Healthcare's IMLP program is proud of its strong relationship with Marquette University, and has hired more program participants from Marquette than any other university in the last few years. Marquette University's dedication to IT project management skills and internship experience uniquely prepares its graduates for the Information Management Leadership program, and consequently they excel within the program.
