"Java and Jobs"


The Information Technology Student Organization at Marquette started second semester off with a bang. Well, at least with coffee. The Breakfast Networking Event held on Tuesday, February 5th went off won-derfully. It was called "Java and Jobs." On the menu was hot coffee, great breakfast and lots of networking between IT professionals from companies and Marquette IT students.

Companies in attendance included - Abbott, Accenture, Assurant Health, Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, Direct Supply, Fiserv, GE Healthcare, Harley Davidson, Kohls, KPMG, Metavante, NVISIA, Pricewaterhouse-Coopers, Walgreens, WE Energies & West Bend Mutual. (Our sponsors are in bold.)

Each company received a book with resumes of current IT students at Marquette that are seeking full time or internship. The students received a hand-out with the list of companies and their representatives in attendance, along with advertisements from the sponsoring companies.

The IT Student Organization would like to thank both the employers and students for making this event truly a great experience for all. Good luck to all of you in your job search and thank you recruiters for con-sidering and hiring Marquette's fine IT students.
